Dr. Sharalee LyonsAll her life Dr. Shari Lyons has known that she wanted to become a veterinarian. Ever since she was young, she looked to her future as a vet even though back then she didn't quite know what the job fully entailed. Her strong love for animals and the need to help both humans and their loving companions has led her to the life that she lives today. Dr. Lyons is not only a great doctor, but an even better friend. She proudly graduated in 1986 from Purdue University and now has experience spanning over 21 years. Dr. Lyons has worked hard her entire life to accomplish the goals she has set for herself. "My favorite part about being a veterinarian is being able to educate people and teach them how to better care for their animals. I also love having the opportunity to better educate myself in this field," said Dr. Lyons. |

Dr. Richard LyonsFor most people the idea of visiting the vet's office is a pretty dull thought. It is a different story for the patients of Dr. Rick Lyons. He does a great job of keeping any situation as humorous as he can. The vet techs appreciate working with him due to his laid back personality and his willingness to teach and train in new techniques. Graduation from Purdue University in 1985, Dr. Lyons has spent the last 22 years honing his skills in emergency and referral medicine. His areas of expertise are in diagnostic and surgical orthopedics, laser surgery, ultrasound and endoscopy diagnostics. The similarity of last names is no coincidence - the doctors met while students at Purdue and have been married for the past twenty-one years. Their family includes their two sons, Paul and Noah, and a menagerie of pets that include: Sonny and Louise, their canine companions, as well as several cats, horses, and a variety of fish and amphibians. |
